Lynn had already arranged care at home but things changed at pace and I needed to place Mum in a care home. She found a carer to stay overnight and spent most of the next day (a Saturday) finding a place.
By the evening, Mum was in a care home in Havant, being well looked after and, most importantly, she was safe. She is now there permanently and really enjoys the activites and care she receives.
I wouldn’t have known where to start looking, especially as I live in Cambridgeshire. “I had a situation that I as a relative was struggling with. It was a very complex set of circumstances as during the last six months sadly my relative had two Hospital stays, was diagnosed with dementia and had a short time at home necessitating the provision of 24 hour live in care.
